When writer-director Howard Zinn began to write his autobiography, he had no intent of ever publishing it. Howard did not write him any letters, nor did he contact him until the book had been written. Zinn picked up his copy of the book at a used bookstore and became inspired to write his own autobiography. Howard Zinn died in 2010 at the age of 87.
